TOPEKA, KANSAS — October 3, 2024 – The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) today announced Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach was affirmed RAGA Chairman by his Republican attorney general colleagues.

“Since Kris took office, he has been one of the leading attorney generals in taking on the federal government and defending the Constitution,” said Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall. “I am thrilled that Kris will be leading this group of Republican attorneys general committed to fighting the overreach of the radical left and defending the rule of law.”

Kobach’s term begins November 6, 2024. He replaces outgoing chair, Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes. 

“It is a great honor to have been selected by my 27 colleagues to lead the organization of Republican attorneys general that has been so pivotal in stopping the unconstitutional actions of the Biden-Harris administration. The last four years have demonstrated just how important state attorneys general are when the executive branch defies the Constitution or the law, and Congress is unable or unwilling to act,” Kobach said. “I appreciate Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes’ steady leadership over the past year. I look forward to leading our organization in the year ahead.”
