The National Border Patrol Council endorses Kris Kobach for U.S. Senate. The labor union announced its endorsement of Kobach’s campaign today.
Brandon Judd, President of the NBPC, said the organization is proud to endorse Kobach.
“I have known Kris Kobach for years and have seen his work,” Judd said. “The private border wall that he led the construction of in New Mexico has significantly reduced drug trafficking and human smuggling. And few people can match his expertise in immigration law. He knows exactly what needs to be done,” Judd said.
Kobach serves as general counsel for We Build the Wall, an organization dedicated to building border wall. In June 2019, Kobach led the construction of the first-ever privately-funded border wall in American history. The wall closed a major human trafficking and drug-smuggling corridor west of El Paso.
“At a time when transnational gangs and cartels are crossing the border to terrorize American citizens, the Senate needs someone like Kris Kobach who will not back down in securing our borders and protecting American workers from low wage competition. Kris Kobach stands above the other candidates because he has the knowledge and experience to increase our border security from day one,” Judd said.
The NBPC doesn’t endorse in many races, according to Kobach.
“The border patrol officers only endorse in races where they see a candidate that really stands out, so I’m delighted they’ve announced they’re endorsing me,” Kobach said.
The National Border Patrol Council is the exclusive representative of approximately 18,000 border patrol agents and support personnel.
