Defend the Second Amendment
"Shall Not Be Infringed" Means Just That

The Right to Keep and Bear Arms

The Second Amendment is what makes all others possible, but the right to keep and bear arms is under attack. The anti-gun left uses mass shooting tragedies to advance their gun control agenda. At one time, that agenda included things like expanded background checks and waiting periods.

With recent mass shootings coupled and a crowded Democratic Presidential field, the true colors of the anti-gun left are really showing. Gun confiscation is the goal. Democratic Presidential-candidate Beto O’Rourke said it during a debate: “Yes, we’re coming to take your AR-15s.”

Unfortunately, even some Republicans appear to be buckling. The U.S. House has already voted on universal background checks. The Senate may do the same. Sending a Republican Senator to Washington who is willing to fight the Establishment in firm defense of our Second Amendment rights has never been more important.

The gun-control proposals Washington insiders are discussing wouldn’t have stopped the recent shootings in Dayton or El Paso. They would, however, make it harder for law-abiding citizens to protect themselves.

Kansans can rest assured that I will not go wobbly or soft on the Second Amendment. I recognize the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun, and I understand that the words “shall not be infringed” mean just that.

Shall Not Be Infringed

I will always fight to defend the right to keep and bear arms.
